Parks
Foster Memorial Park
Located at the end of Durrell Avenue and Crescent Avenue. Two baseball/softball fields are located within the park, which are then converted to soccer fields in the fall. On the south end of the park, a basketball court can be found. A playground is located at the north end. Accessible restrooms and an emergency telephone are available at Foster Memorial Park.
Chisholm Park
Located on Chisholm Trail at the Oregon Trail intersection, Chisholm Park is home to a spring softball field and a fall soccer field.
Camp John McLean Memorial Park:
Located on the north side of Bonham Road, just west of Springfield Pike; Camp John McLean Memorial Park consists of a dedicated green space where numerous activities can take place.
Hilltop Park/ Playground:
Located at the intersection of Reily Road and Oliver Road. Hilltop Park is equipped with a baseball/softball field, a basketball court, and playground facilities. A park that suits all ages!
Oak Park
Located on Oak Avenue, a block north of the Wyoming Municipal Building. Oak Park houses two lacrosse/soccer/ football fields, a walking path, and a basketball court. In 2002, new playground equipment was installed, including a rock climbing structure. Accessible restrooms are available.
North Park Field
Located on North Park Avenue. North Park is home to a baseball field and connects to the Hike/Bike Trail.
Crescent Park
Located on Crescent Avenue south of the Wyoming Avenue business district; Crescent Park is perfect for outside gatherings at its picnic area and playground.
Centennial Park
Located at the corner of Springfield Pike and Linden Drive. Benches are located within the park for residents to enjoy the gardens planted and maintained by the Trowel and Error Garden Club. A fountain is also located at this park.
Junior Woman's Club Park/Tot Lot
Located off of Springfield Pike near the tennis courts. This park has a fenced in play area for toddlers, it is equipped with toddler-size equipment and a picnic area.
The Wyoming Skate Park
Located at Oak Park, the 7,000 sq ft. skate park has two "bowls" (6' & 8'), a 4' nipple, a small "funbox", a two layer ledge, a half pyramid, and rails (square & round). Helmets and pads are strongly recommended. The Skate Park closes at dusk.
Village Green Park and Gazebo
Located in the business district at the corner of Wyoming and Oak Avenues. Village Green is home to a gazebo, benches, walkways, and lamp posts. Village Green serves as a focal point for many community events.
Recreation Facilities
Tennis Facilities
Eight lit and secure tennis courts are available in Wyoming. Residents can purchase a year long membership and receive a key for use of the tennis courts. During the summer, court times can be reserved by calling the pool at 948-1256, otherwise; courts are on a first come first serve basis. A tennis instructor conducts lessons and clinics from early spring to late fall.
Locations: A-Field courts are located on the northwest side of the athletic field on Springfield Pike. Municipal courts are located in the municipal parking lot next to the JWC Tot Lot on Springfield Pike.
Gymnasiums/Fitness Facilities
Municipal Gymnasium is located at the north end of the Municipal building at 800 Oak Avenue, it is used for youth and adult basketball programs. The gymnasium is available for rental by Wyoming residents for a nominal fee.
Wyoming Recreation Center offers a full size gymnasium, meeting rooms, fitness center, child care room, and shower/locker facilities. Gymnasium and meeting rooms are available for rent. Soccer fields/lacrosse fields are also located on the grounds of the facility.
Wyoming Family Aquatics Center is located at the Recreation Center and offers an 8 lane heated competitive-size pool, play and spray area, vortex swirl pool, diving board, slide, a bathhouse, and the Sea Dragon Cafe. Residents can purchase a single or family membership or pay a daily admittance fee. Pool operates between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Swim lessons are available. The Sea Dragons swim team is a competitive summer team. Facility may be rented during evening hours.
Preserves
Preserves are defined as developed property placed into a Trust for the benefit and enjoyment of residents as part of the Green Areas Trust program. Thirty acres are currently in the Trust, and listed as nature preserves and passive parks.
North Park is located on North Park Avenue. The preserve contains an arboretum and a small green belt area along the Millcreek.
Ritchie Preserve is a nature preserve. It can be accessed from Sweetwater Drive or Ritchie Avenue.
Stearns Woods is located at the corner of Glenway and Oliver. A historical marker has been placed at the entrance to the Green Areas at this location.
Community Gardens is located along the Millcreek and North Park. Plots are available for citizens to garden and be viewed by the public. Fifty plots are allocated on a first come basis with a $15 annual fee for each plot. Please call 821.8044 for information about registration and availability.
Hike/Bike Trail was dedicated on April 18, 2009. The trail extends from the North Park entrance to the Wyoming Recreation Center.
