Where can I register to vote?

  • You can obtain a registration form to vote at the City Building, 800 Oak Avenue with the Utility Billing Clerk from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Absentee ballots are not available at the City Building. You must call the Hamilton County Board of Voter Registration at 513.632.7000 to obtain an absentee ballot.

Do I need a permit to have a garage or yard sale?

  • You are required to obtain a permit to have a garage or yard sale. The fee for the permit is $7.00. The permit is available from the Finance Department. Any questions you have should be directed to 513.821.8044.

What do I need to do to have a block party?

  • If you plan to have a block party, you must submit a letter to the City Manager notifying him/her of the date and time of the block party, the location, and a contact number. Also, all person's whose access to their driveway will be affected, must sign the letter indicating their approval. This letter can be mailed to the City Manager or dropped off at 800 Oak Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45215. Any questions you may have can be directed to 513.821.7600.

How do I submit information about a community event to the City Newsletter?

  • Community events are listed in the City Bulletin provided space allows. Drop off your submission (limited to 1 paragraph in length) or mail it to the City Building, fax (513.821.7952), or email it to Heather Dunning. The deadline is 12:00 p.m. on the second Friday of the month prior to the month of publication provided space allows. Space availability is on a first come basis. Not all articles received can be included due to space availability. Mark your envelope City Newsletter.

How can I obtain a new resident packet?

  • New resident packets are available for new residents or potential residents from the Administrative Services Office at 800 Oak Avenue or can be delivered to you by filling out this form.

How can I be notified of a particular meeting or agenda item?

  • If you would like to be informed when a meeting agenda has been completed or when a particular item of interest is on an agenda for consideration by any of the City's Boards, Commissions, Subcommittees, Taskforces, or City Council, you may request this notification from the Administrative Services Department at 821. 7600 or by emailing Karen Zeilman.
  • If you would like a copy of the agenda mailed to you, you may provide stamped addressed mailing envelopes to the Administrative Services Office and a copy of the meeting agenda will be mailed to you upon completion. Copies can also be faxed, emailed, or are available at the City Building, 800 Oak Avenue. To inform the City that you would like to be notified by fax or email please call 821.7600 or email Karen Zeilman.

Who can I call if I do not know which City Department my need falls under?

  • You can call the Administrative Services Department at 513.821.7600 or email Karen Zeilman if you are uncertain which City Department to contact and they will be happy to assist you or to direct your call or email to the appropriate department.

How can I obtain a copy of a public record?

  • You can submit your request for a public record in writing, by fax, by emailing Robert Harrison, in person, or by calling the City Manager at 513.821.7600. While your request is not required to be in writing, submitting it in writing helps to assure that you receive all the information you want included in your request. Please note: you will be charged for copies of public records. Records copied in house are five cents per page. Records too large in size or volume to copy in house are sent out to be copied by a commercial vendor with the cost passed along to the requestor.
