Yard Waste Pick Up:
Through
March 1, Wyoming residents can call Rumpke by Friday
to inform them that they have yard waste to be picked up the following
Monday. Waste must me placed in a trash can with handles and a lid,
in a yard waste bag, or if sticks, bundled together. Call
Rumpke at 742-2900. Each can, bag (No Plastic!), or bundle
must have a $1.75 blue yard waste sticker on it and weigh no more
than 50 pounds.
Leaf Mulch Delivery:
Beginning March 1, Wyoming
residents can call to have a full or half truck load of mulch delivered
to their homes. To receive a load, you must
call 821-7600 and talk with a City employee who will
ask specific questions about where you want the mulch dumped.
Residents receiving mulch can make a voluntary
donation to the Urban Forestry Board which will be used
to purchase street trees for the Citywide planting program. Make
checks payable to Urban Forestry Board, and send to: City Building,
800 Oak Avenue.
2002 Spring Clean:
April 13-Spring clean up date for large
household items. Items containing freon must have it removed and
documentation attached to the item. Paint, pesticides, batteries,
tires, and concrete will NOT be accepted.
April 20 and 27-Yard waste, including
twigs, leaves, grass clippings, and any other loose materials can
be placed in a yard waste bag (No Plastic bags!) or trash can to
be picked up by Rumpke. Branches and bushes must be bundled and
set out on the curb.
April 20 street pick up:
Fleming Meadows, Mary and Egan Lanes, all properties north of Fleming
Road to Rolling Hills condominium area, Springfield Pike, and properties
east of the Pike, Sherry, Euclid, West Mills, and St. Claire.
April
27 street pick up: All properties west of Springfield
Pike and south of Fleming with the exception of Fleming Meadows,
West Mills, St. Claire, Euclid, Egan and Mary Lanes, and Sherry.
Fall Leaf Collection 2002:
From Oct. 14 to Dec. 10,
Wyoming residents can take advantage of curbside
leaf pick up. Leaves must be raked to just behind the
street curb in your yard and extend no more than 10 feet into your
yard. Piles blocked by cars cannot be picked up. Please keep grass
clippings, sticks, and rocks from getting inside piles as they can
damage the equipment and therefore will not be picked up. You can
call 821-3505 for more information and
a daily schedule.
