Q: When are my recyclables picked up?
A:Your recyclable materials should go out to the curb on the same day that your garbage does.

In 2001, Wyoming collected 4,618 tons of disposals. Of that amount, 3,299 tons went to the landfill, while 1,319 tons was recycled.

In 2000, the figures were 4,644 tons collected with 3,361 going to the landfill and 1,283 tons going to the recycling plant.

That’s a 1% increase between 2000 and 2001. With your help, we can do even better in 2002!


-Did you know that Wyoming residents save more than $26.00 for each ton of waste that is not tossed in a landfill. So in 2001, we saved $34,294! That’s not only a lot of "green" money, that’s a lot of materials being saved from the landfill.
