Green House

In Wyoming, families can recycle more than any other neighborhood in Hamilton County. Inside your recycling bin you can sort out all kinds of different materials, including paper, plastic, aluminum, glass, and cardboard. That makes Wyoming one of the most recycling-friendly communities in town.

When you take action and recycle, you ensure that recyclable materials head to the recycling plant rather than the landfill. Then those materials can be broken down and reused into other things like paper and plastic. Did you know that even some clothing like fleece sweatpants and pullovers are made from recycled 2-liter bottles. Now how’s that for being "green!"

And it’s easy. It takes only a few extra minutes to unscrew lids, rinse out containers, and toss them into a recycling bin rather than the garbage can.

Try This at Home:
Place a second garbage can or tiered storage rack marked "recyclables" next to your kitchen garbage can. After you’ve rinsed out a can or bottle or flattened out papers and cardboard, place them in your inside recycling container. Then the night before trash day, sort the items, put them into your recycling bin, take them out to the curb, and voila! you’re finished! There’s no excuse not to recycle!
